How Website Development Works

Kickoff and Strategy

Before we build anything, you’ll fill out a short questionnaire and meet with your designer and copywriter together. We’ll talk through your goals, your audience, and what you want your site to accomplish, whether that’s booking speaking engagements, growing your newsletter, or selling your book.

Design and Copy

While your copywriter writes your content, your designer creates two to three branding options for you to choose from, including your logo, colors, and fonts. Working side by side means your words and design compliment one another from the start.

Review

Once your copy and branding are approved, you’ll see a full design of your homepage before development begins. This gives us a chance to fine-tune the look and the message together, so the rest of the site is built on a direction you love.

Build and Launch

After your homepage is approved, we build out the complete site and walk you through it together. Once you give the final approval, we hand over ownership and stay on for a month of support, so you feel confident managing your site after launch.

How long does a website typically take to build?

Can I make edits myself after it's built?

Yes. Once your site launches, it’s fully yours, along with a month of support from us to help with anything that comes up early on.

Is this an ongoing service, or a one-time build?

It’s a one-time build plus a month of post-launch support. You’ll manage your own hosting and platform billing going forward, so there’s no ongoing bill from us.

How many pages are included?

Most sites fit comfortably into 5 pages. We can go up to 7 if you need more, and anything beyond that is available as an add-on.

Does this connect to my Authority Builder or Podcast Presence content?

Yes. Your kickoff call is built around your broader story and any content work you’re doing with us, so your site feels like one connected presence rather than something separate.

What if I'm a Streamline Books author or StageReady Speaking graduate? Will I have to re-explain everything?

No. Before you start, your Website Designer will already have reviewed your history with us. We pick up where you left off!
